Stress is one of the biggest ways to stay OUT of ketosis.

Emotional, physical, and chemical stress all disrupt your body’s ability to tap into fat and make ketones. If you’ve been struggling to get into ketosis, consider decreasing your stress load. Eating foods you are sensitive too can easily kick you out of ketosis. But don’t worry… there are so many meals that taste amazing that most people are not sensitive too. This photo has green beans sauted in coconut oil, spaghetti squash with pasture butter and pastured pork sausage. The fat and spices are what takes this meal from bland and boring to flavorful and rich.

Emotional

Anyone experiencing chronic emotional distress will struggle in all areas of health. If that is you- find some ways to seriously address the issue. Try some tactics such as tapping (EFT), breathwork, change your relationship/job/home, affirmations, re-program your thoughts, etc…

  • Scented products (candles, air fresheners, room spray, laundry, body spray)

  • Flame retardants in clothing, furniture, cars.

  • Toxic building materials in your home/work.

  • Mold in your home/work.

Physical

  • Chronic pain

  • Headaches/migraines

  • Over exercising

  • Poor sleep

  • Too much EMF exposure

  • Digestive distress (SIBO, IBS, gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, leaky gut)

  • Food sensitivities

  • Infections (including dormant ones)

  • Hormone trouble
